Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 16, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Avoce ("Avoce", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use avoce.ai and our live captioning and translation service (the "Service").

By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Information we collect

Account information. When you sign up or log in, we collect your email address. If you sign in with Google, we receive your basic Google profile information (such as your email address and name) as permitted by your Google account.

Audio you capture. When you start a session, your microphone audio is streamed to our speech-processing providers to generate live captions and, if you choose, translations. See "How we handle your audio" below.

Transcripts and translations. The text produced during a session (both the original transcript and its translations), including any custom glossary terms you add. These transcripts are saved to your account so you can review your history across devices; you can delete any session from your history at any time.

Usage and billing data. Session length, the mode you use (translation or transcription), points consumed, top-ups, and your credit ledger.

Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not collect or store your full card number; we receive limited details such as a payment identifier and status.

Technical data. Cookies and similar identifiers needed to keep you signed in, plus basic server logs (such as IP address and timestamps) for security and reliability.

2. How we use your information

To provide the Service — capturing audio, generating live captions, translating, and showing your transcript.

To manage your account, trial points, purchases, and credit balance.

To process payments and prevent fraud.

To maintain, secure, and improve the Service.

To contact you about your account or important service changes.

3. How we handle your audio

Your microphone audio is streamed in real time to our speech-to-text and translation providers solely to produce captions and translations during your session.

We do not use your audio or transcripts to train our own models.

Audio is processed transiently and is not stored by Avoce as audio files. The transcripts generated during a session (original and translations) are saved to your account so you can review and export your history later. If you use the "share with an audience" feature, the transcript lines and their translations are also stored so they can be delivered in real time to audience members who join. See "Data retention" for how long we keep this and how to delete it.

4. Third-party service providers

We share information with trusted providers only as needed to run the Service:

OpenAI — speech-to-text and translation processing of your session audio and text.

Supabase — authentication and database (account, credits, session records, transcripts).

Stripe — payment processing.

Vercel — application hosting and delivery.

Google — only if you choose to sign in with Google.

These providers process data under their own terms and security practices. We do not sell your personal information.

5. Cookies

We use cookies that are necessary to keep you signed in and to operate the Service. We do not use them for advertising.

6. Data retention

We keep account and billing records for as long as your account is active and as required for legal, tax, and accounting purposes. You can request deletion of your account as described below.

Your live-translation transcripts are kept in your account (we retain up to the 50 most recent sessions per user; older ones are removed automatically), and you can delete any session from your history at any time. Content created through the "share with an audience" feature is stored to serve your audience and is retained until you delete your account. Deleting your account also deletes your transcripts.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@avoce.ai. You can also stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time.

8. International data transfers

We and our providers may process your information in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

9. Children's privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes may be communicated by email.
